Head of Digital Studio, UK
THE TEAM/ROLE
We’re looking for an experienced digital marketing professional with a deep background in production. The successful candidate; Head of Digital Studio (HDS) will be responsible for the high quality and sensible budgeting of all digital build work in the London office.
The HDS is an enthusiastic problem solver with a passion for the Internet and the technology behind the rapid changes affecting the communication industry. The HDS will report to Candace Kuss, ECD Interactive Lab.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee all digital production and development across the agency
- Partner with the sector client teams at the early stages of a project to advise on usability best practice and cost effective build techniques
- Write functional specs, SOWs, project plans and other documents in collaboration with the client team lead
- Act as a quality control checkpoint for all technical digital work, in consultation with the Interactive Lab
- Work with the sector Digital Directors to share learning across projects
- Identify, evaluate and manage relationships with a preferred partner list of development agencies, including WPP network agencies
- Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with H+K Strategies’ digital colleagues in Europe and throughout the global network
- Be the agency technical expert for online monitoring software and other common digital PR tools like WordPress
- Contribute to new business pitches and client briefs by providing realistic budgets and timelines for creative ideas

ATTRIBUTES FOR SUCCESS
- Experience working with world-class brands in a digital PR agency, interactive agency or dedicated department
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to translate technical specifications into plain English for both sector teams and clients
- Superior project management talent with hands-on experience building websites, microsites, Facebook tabs and applications, mobile sites and/or applications
- Deep understanding of information architecture; experience creating wireframes and site maps and conducting formal usability testing
- Working knowledge of HTML and HTML5, CSS, Javacript, PHP, Flash, etc; web APIs such as Google, Facebook, Twitter; monitoring software such as Radian6 and Crimson Hexagon; digital newsrooms, video and rich media formats, RSS, SEO, MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite; Agile and/or waterfall software development methodologies
